Support includes providing oxygen to a 500-bed hospital and 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines

ATLANTA, May 6, 2021 – NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), in partnership with the NCR Foundation, is extending support to help fight the record numbers of COVID-19 cases overwhelming hospitals and communities throughout India and the Philippines.

The NCR Foundation is providing UNICEF with a grant to fund a new on-site Oxygen-Generation Plant (OGP) that will deliver medical-grade oxygen needed to support a 500-bed hospital in India. Additionally, the financial assistance will go toward funding 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines for front-line workers and vulnerable populations in India and the Philippines. NCR and the NCR Foundation are continuing to work to provide additional assistance and support to countries impacted around the globe; like Brazil and others.

The World Health Organization today reported that India alone accounted for 46% of new COVID-19 cases recorded last week and 25% of all deaths as hospitals continue running out of beds and oxygen.

“While the impact of the pandemic has lessened in the United States, some of our NCR communities in India, the Philippines and other parts of the world are suffering through a devastating escalation in illness and are struggling to procure some key medical resources,” said Tim Oliver, Chair of the NCR Foundation and Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at NCR Corporation. “NCR and the NCR Foundation are committed to supporting our global community of employees and customers in their urgent fight against the virus.”
